History
The Walton Road Garage (Formerly known as the Walton Road Blacksmiths) was the ambition of Mr. Lewis Balkwill who migrated from Devon in 1890.
Life began as a Blacksmith shop that serviced a few motor cars but with the steady decline of the Horse and Carriage, its main business became automobiles and Motor Bikes.
The Walton Road Garage still occupies the same premises where it began business in Walton some 85 years ago. It is very important to note that the business is operated by the third generation of,”Balkwill’s”, namely the grand sons of Mr. Lewis Balkwill; Lewis, Anthony and Tim.
The Walton Road Garage is a well-established family run business with 85 years wealth of experience and expertise. The business is an essential part of the community and has serviced and fixed cars and motorbikes for four generations. Since our expansion in 1965 and improvements that continue until the present day, we earnestly provide a national service with a wide customer base.
